Apple TV 4K: Force Restore to Factory Settings

Background This is a quick trick you can do to force an Apple TV 4k to reset to factory settings. Had a few Apple TVs that were stuck on single app mode and had been removed from our MDM. The 4k version of the Apple TV doesn't have a port so they were effectively bricked. Looking around online I found that you can bring them to Apple and have them replaced, but that's more work than I was willing to put in. Considerations (Skip if this is a personal device) The only thing to make sure of here is that your Apple TV is currently unbound from any MDM platform, or at least unscoped from whichever configuration profile that locked it into single app mode. Steps Unplug the Apple TV and immediately plug it back in Let it boot up to whichever screen/app it's stuck on Unplug the device and immediately plug it back in Repeat 3-6 times, eventually a popup will display stating that it seems the device is having issues, and give the option to reset the

macOS Catalina: Easier Root Access During Setup Assistant

To gain root access on Macs without a T2 chip 1. Boot into single user mode (hold Cmd + S after hitting the power key) 2. Run the following commands:      mount -uw /System/Volumes/Data     touch /var/db/.RunLanguageChooserToo (This is not a typo)        reboot 3. When the computer finishes booting the setup assistant will now begin with the Language Chooser screen.  4. While on the Langue Chooser screen, press Ctrl + Opt + Cmd + T , this will open up a terminal with root access To gain root access on Macs with a T2 chip 1. Boot into recovery mode (hold CMD + R after hitting the power key) and open the terminal 2. Run the following commands:      chroot /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD       touch /var/db/.RunLanguageChooserToo  (This is not a typo) 3. Reboot the computer normally, the setup assistant will now begin with the Language Chooser screen.  4. While on the Langue Chooser screen, press  Ctrl + Opt + Cmd + T   , this will open up a terminal with root access

Everstone locations Turffield The easiest spot to get the Everstone in Pokemon Sword & Shield is actually fairly early in the game, in Turffield: Begin at the Pokecenter and head right Take the first left that is available, it'll be a small slope After that take the next first left You'll end up at a dead end with an Everstone as an item pickup sprite on the ground Digging Duo The less reliable method to get an Everstone is through the Digging Duo. Head to Bridge Field in the wild area and near the nursery you'll find the Digging Duo. Pay one of them 500W to dig for you and among other neat rewards, there's a chance that they'll dig up an Everstone,  Note:  There's no limit to the amount of times you can have them dig for you, so feel free to keep going as long as you have Watts

Pokemon Sword & Shield: Efficient Berry Farming Trick

Berry Farming Trick Instead of essentially gambling when shaking trees for berries in Pokemon Sword & Shield there's an easier more reliable way to maximize the amount of berries you get: After shaking the tree the first time you'll be able to feel and see it shaking.  When it vibrates occasionally you're good to shake the tree again. Once it starts vibrating consistently you can shake it one more time. Any shakes beyond that will summon a wild Pokemon.
